Don't always center your subject. Try placing the main subject along the grid lines (specifically where lines intersect). This creates a more energetic and interesting photo.

Cropping makes images smaller. If you crop a tiny part of a photo and try to stretch it to full screen, it will look pixelated. Always start with the highest resolution image possible.
