Role Description The Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automation solutions that improve system reliability, performance, and efficiency across various technology platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and configuring control systems, integrating robotics and automated devices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and optimize processes. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing root-cause analysis, and documenting standards and procedures for automated workflows. The Automation Engineer will also support continuous improvement initiatives, contribute to technical knowledge sharing, and ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines. This is a full-time remote role.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Automation and Process Control skills to design, configure, and optimize automated systems.
Candidates should possess Robotics and Electrical Engineering skills to integrate, program, and maintain automated equipment and control hardware.
Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to identify, analyze, and resolve system and equipment issues efficiently.
Candidates should possess proficiency with industrial control platforms (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, HMIs) and relevant communication protocols.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on system reliability and safety.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional and remote teams.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Control Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Candidates should possess experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, or similar) and familiarity with industry standards and best practices; experience in IT or technology services environments is beneficial.
