Role Description This full-time remote Junior Java Developer role involves contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications. The individual in this role will assist in implementing new features, fixing bugs, writing clean and efficient code, and supporting microservices-based architectures under the guidance of senior team members. Daily tasks include collaborating with the development team, participating in code reviews, writing unit tests, and following established software development standards and practices. The Junior Java Developer will also help document technical solutions, learn and apply the Spring Framework, and stay current with emerging tools and best practices relevant to the company’s technology stack.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess Software Development and Programming skills, with a focus on object-oriented principles and basic design patterns.
Candidates should possess Java and Spring Framework skills to build, test, and maintain backend applications.
Candidates should possess Microservices-related skills, including understanding of service-oriented architecture and RESTful APIs.
Candidates should possess problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills to troubleshoot and improve application performance.
Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic knowledge of build tools and testing frameworks is beneficial.
