Role Description The Junior Machine Learning Engineer will support the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models in a remote, full-time role. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and preprocessing data, implementing and testing algorithms, and building basic models for pattern recognition and prediction tasks. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers to improve model performance, documenting experiments, and maintaining reproducible workflows. The engineer will assist in integrating models into applications or services, monitoring results, and troubleshooting issues. The position also includes ongoing learning, code reviews, and participation in team discussions to refine approaches and adopt best practices.
Qualifications
Solid foundation in Computer Science and Algorithms, with the ability to write clean, efficient code.
Knowledge of Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition for building and improving machine learning models.
Understanding of Statistics for data analysis, model evaluation, and performance measurement.
Familiarity with common machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with a distributed team.
Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic software development practices is beneficial.
Interest in staying current with machine learning research, tools, and best practices, with a willingness to learn and grow.
