Role Description The PHP Website Developer is a full-time remote role responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing web applications and sites using PHP and related technologies. Day-to-day tasks include developing clean, efficient back-end logic, integrating databases and APIs, and contributing to front-end implementation in collaboration with designers and other developers. The role involves translating requirements into technical solutions, troubleshooting issues, improving performance, and ensuring responsive, user-friendly interfaces. The developer will participate in code reviews, follow secure coding and best practices, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable web products. Regular communication, documentation of work, and ongoing learning about new tools and frameworks are expected.
Qualifications
Strong back-end web development skills, including PHP, Back-End Web Development, and Programming.
Front-end development capabilities, including Front-End Development and Web Design for responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
Solid understanding of general Web Development principles, standards, and best practices.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL), API integration, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with attention to security and performance.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote, distributed team environment.
Relevant experience as a PHP Developer or Web Developer; a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
Familiarity with modern frameworks or libraries (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, JavaScript frameworks) and an interest in continuous skill development.
