Role Description The Software Tester role at EgoTECHworld is a full-time remote position focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions. On a day-to-day basis, the Software Tester will design, create, and execute test cases based on functional and technical requirements. The role involves performing manual and, where applicable, automated testing, documenting defects, and working closely with developers and product teams to resolve issues. The Software Tester will analyze test results, contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, and support the release of stable, user-ready software. Collaboration, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving are key aspects of this role.
Qualifications
Strong Software Testing and Quality Assurance skills, with experience validating functionality, performance, and usability.
Hands-on experience with Test Execution and creating, maintaining, and prioritizing Test Cases.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, identify defects, and troubleshoot complex issues.
Familiarity with test management tools and bug-tracking systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail or similar).
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings clearly.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time, and meet deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with basic automation testing concepts and scripting languages is a plus.
Interest in staying current with testing best practices and emerging technologies.
