Role Description The User Interface Designer will be responsible for designing intuitive, visually engaging interfaces for web and digital products in a full-time, remote capacity. Day-to-day tasks include creating wireframes and high-fidelity mockups, defining layout, typography, and visual hierarchy, and collaborating with UX designers, product managers, and developers to translate requirements into usable interfaces. The role involves refining design systems, ensuring consistency across platforms, and working closely with front-end development teams to support implementation. The User Interface Designer will regularly iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and analytics, maintaining a user-centered approach and alignment with brand and accessibility guidelines.
Qualifications
Strong User Interface Design and User Experience (UX) skills focused on creating intuitive, user-centered digital products.
Proficiency in Visual Design and Mockups, including layout, color, typography, and use of modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
Understanding of Front-End Development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics) to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
Experience working with design systems, style guides, and responsive design for web and mobile interfaces.
Ability to communicate design decisions clearly, work collaboratively in remote teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and usability best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Portfolio demonstrating UI projects that highlight visual design quality, problem-solving, and collaboration.
